Objectives/Challenges

We hire many temporary part-time workers toward the end of the year. New hire training was conducted manually using a 40-minute PowerPoint presentation, but repeating the same content was labor-intensive, and the quality of the explanation varied depending on the person in charge.

We tried using audio recorded by employees for narration, but when actually recorded, it was difficult to hear and unclear.

Solution

By introducing Ondoku, we aim to improve the efficiency and quality of new hire training, switching from manual PowerPoint explanations to automated new hire training via video.

Results

We created training videos using Ondoku narration, resulting in improvements in time and effort (Reduction of 40 sessions per year × 40 minutes = 1,600 minutes). Furthermore, the explanations became more accurate and comprehensive compared to human explanations, leading to improved quality.

Please tell us about the background behind the introduction of the text-to-speech tool.

Juchheim Co., Ltd. hires many temporary part-time workers toward the end of the year.

We conduct new hire training for these temporary employees. However, the current situation was that this training required significant time, labor, and cost.

Previously, new hire training was done manually using a 40-minute PowerPoint presentation, but it was a challenge because repeating the same content was labor-intensive, and the quality of explanations varied by the person in charge.

Could you tell us how you came to introduce Ondoku?

While facing these challenges, I looked into creating automated narration and searched on SNS.

That is when I discovered Ondoku.
