You can download audio files by splitting a text read aloud all at once by Ondoku at points where punctuation is used.

The method for determining where to split is based on the length of the pause duration. It is not based on symbols like "、".

How to Use Ondoku's Split Function

Location of the split button

The split function can be accessed from the History page.

Click on History to check your reading history.

Then, in addition to the download button labeled MP3, you will find a "Split" button.

Please click this split button.

When you click Split, a screen like this will appear.

"ms" in "Pause (ms)" stands for milliseconds.

  • 1 second = 1000 milliseconds
  • 0.5 seconds = 500 milliseconds
  • 0.1 seconds = 100 milliseconds

etc.

In the split function, the default is set to 300 milliseconds.

In the audio created this time, 200 milliseconds is used.

If you leave it set at 300 milliseconds, it will result in "the 200-millisecond pause being too short to be split there."

Since we want to split at the 200-millisecond mark, let's change the number to something smaller than 200.

We recommend a number less than half (100 in this case).

You can also change the number using the cursor next to it.

When you click "Split and Download," it will automatically split at parts where there is a pause of 100 milliseconds or more. After a short while, a ZIP file containing the split audio files will be created.

By clicking Save, you can download the ZIP file.

Unzip the downloaded ZIP file and check the contents of the folder.

File names are automatically assigned numbers starting from 0 based on the first part of the split text.
